Students qualify for national BPA contest
Riverside Board of Education members approved at their regular rescheduled Wednesday evening meeting a road map of sorts that lays out directions for the next 20 years for the district’s permanent improvement fund to help guide saving and spending decisions to help keep school facilities in tip-top shape.
Superintendent Scott Mann said this capital improvement plan includes “everything from A to Z related to facilities and grounds,” such as asphalt, roofing, and mechanical needs and technology.
“By approving the plan tonight, the board isn’t approving a specific project per se, but is helping to put these flexible plans in place so that we have some guidelines for the future and can plan ahead and have funds allocated for big purchases.”
