Northeastern held off visiting Riverside for a 48-41 win on Tuesday in a non-league girls basketball game.
It was the season opener for the Pirates, who trailed 20-15 at halftime.
Riverside closed to within two (32-30) at the end of the third quarter.
However, the the Jets used a 16-11 scoring effort in the fourth quarter to lock up the win.
Marissa Davis and Kalin Kreglow powered the Pirates with a pair of double-doubles.
Davis scored 12 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, while Kreglow tallied 10 points and 18 rebounds.
Also for Riverside, Shelby Giles had eight points and five steals.
In junior varsity action, Riverside won 19-6.
