Riverside Schools student Eli Kindle, left, got to throw a pie at teacher Lucinda Fleming, this week for as a part of a larger effort to raise funds for the United Way’s Indian Lake Tornado Relief. When Riverside students returned from spring break, they had the opportunity to participate in the fundraiser put on by junior high and high school student council from April 2-5. Pupils gave money throughout the week that was added in a jar of their choice that contained the name of a Riverside staff member they would like to see get a pie in the face. The staff members with the most money in their jars were presented April 9 for a group of students to splatter them with pies. In just three days, Riverside was able to raise more than $1,200 for tornado victims. (RIVERSIDE PHOTO)
