Phyllis Jean Morris, 85, of DeGraff, left life on earth to be an angel in Heaven on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at Ohio Living Dorothy Love.
She was born June 15, 1935 in Piqua, to the late Earl J. Brown and Florence M. (Norris) Brown. She married the love of her life, Herschel Morris Jr. on July 26, 1952, who precedes her in death. Phyllis grew up in Piqua.
Phyllis lived her life through the Lord as a devoted Christian and was a member of the Logansville Community Church. Those who knew Phyllis, knew that she was a sweet lady full of jokes, laughter, and left an everlasting mark everywhere she went. Phyllis was an amazing cook and was known for her famous fudge and tomato potpie. Phyllis enjoyed watching her family play basketball and other sports as well as, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football, shopping, dancing, crocheting, going out to dinner, and most of all spending time with friends and family.
Phyllis is survived by a sister, Marilyn (Gene) Johnson of Sidney, and her five loving children, Craig (Joyce) Morris of Columbia, S.C., Karen (Brad) Mueller of San Jose, Calif., Diana (Gary) Armbruster of McClure, Margie (Steve) Hiestand of Rossburg, and Mark (Karen) Morris of DeGraff. Phyllis was also survived by her many beloved grandchildren, Ginger (Jonah) Strapp, Kelli (Kip) Burba, Gregg (Jamie) Armbruster, Clint (Amber) Armbruster, Cory (Melanie) Hiestand, Kyle Morris, Ursyla (Jonnie) Mueller, Tristan Morris, Jami (Richard) Faulkner, Trevor (Jessica) Morris, Steven Mueller, Shelbie (Jazzmine) Bailey, Kylene (Tim) Jenkins, along with 31 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Earl J. Brown and Florence M. (Norris) Brown; husband, Herschel Morris Jr..; and brothers, Rollin Brown and Gary Brown. Phyllis will be greatly missed.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will be holding a private visitation for immediate family on Wednesday, Dec. 16, with Pastor Dana Kidder officiating. A graveside service will be open to anyone at noon Wednesday at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.
Arrangements are being held by Adams Funeral Home in Sidney. Please wear face masks and maintain safe distancing while in attendance.
