Pauline M. Foulk-Taylor, 89 of Centerville, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Pauline was born July 18, 1930, in Elmwood, to the late Steve and Carrie (Erwin) Meade. In 1949 in Newport, Ky., she married Donovan G. Foulk, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Later in 1986 in Worthington, she married Robert L. Taylor, who also preceded her in death in 2017. Her late husband, Robert (Bob), commented that Pauline made a house a home. After working several years at The Ohio State University, she retired her position as Education Program Coordinator. Pauline’s family was her priority in life. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed and fortunate to have her as a loving caring godly mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Pauline was a Christian woman, who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her younger years, she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in each of the churches she attended at different times. Pauline was a member of the Garden Club in DeGraff, and won first place and was awarded a blue ribbon for her arrangement of yellow tulips which she grew and arranged from her own floral garden. She enjoyed several activities over the years, such as gardening, canning, designing, travel, cooking, baking, and recently you would find her on the internet researching her heritage and family history. Pauline also enjoyed Southern Architectural drawings and an assortment of designs of home interiors and landscaping.
She is survived by her children, Rickford (previous spouse Beverly) Foulk, Virginia (John K. Jr.) Cairns, Mark (Lynn) Foulk and Scott (Nicole) Foulk; grandchildren, Carla Lippincott, Jacqueline Havens, Julie Nicolo, John Mark Foulk, Jessica Foulk, Michael Foulk, John Kennedy Cairns III, Chase Foulk, Carter Foulk and Hannah Foulk; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Turner and Steven Douglas (Barbara) Meade; with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Donovan G. Foulk and Robert L. Taylor; her parents; grandsons, Sean Paul Cairns and Sean Donovan Foulk; great-granddaughter, Irelynn Lippincott; siblings, Virginia Meade, Malcolm Meade, and Donald Meade.
A private family service will take place on Monday, June 29, with her son-in-law conducting the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
