WOODUM |

Two suspects charged with concealing the overdose death of a city man were sentenced this week after they pleaded guilty for their parts.
Dominique Woodum, 25, incarcerated at the Logan County Jail, was originally charged with first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter for supplying the drugs that killed Eric Pooler, 50, of Bellefontaine, a year ago. He also was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and misdemeanor abuse of a corpse.
He was set to stand trial in Logan County Common Pleas Court this week, but, at the last minute, pleaded guilty to a second-degree felony charge of involuntary manslaughter. Visiting Judge Randall Basinger sentenced him to eight years in prison.
The other charges were dropped.
Morgan Brown, 27, incarcerated, in June pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony; and misdemeanor abuse of a corpse. She also admitted to a parole violation.
