Officers with the Bellefontaine Police Department Criminal Patrol Unit arrested two defendants Thursday afternoon during the execution of a narcotics-related search warrant at 616 1/2 S. Main St., which followed a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Roger West Jr., 42, of that address, was charged with a third-degree felony count of possession of methamphetamine, two fourth-degree felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and a fifth-degree felony count of possession of drugs.
Jon Reaves, 31, address at large, was charged with fifth-degree felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine.
Both men were located at the residence when the search warrant was served about 1 p.m., officers said. Reaves also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest through Bellefontaine Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office, both for failure to appear.
During a search of the residence, officers located a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, pills, marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, cash, and multiple cell phones.
The Criminal Patrol Unit was assisted by the Adult Parole Authority and Detective Bureau.
