MARYSVILLE — Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with deputies of the Union County Sheriff’s Office and officers of the Marysville Police Department, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint from 8 to 10 p.m. today, Saturday, May 19, on County Road 1 north of Scotts Lawn Road in Union County.
The sobriety checkpoint will be operated using federal grant dollars and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
Troopers are reminding those who plan to consume alcohol to also plan for a sober driver or make other appropriate travel arrangements before drinking. Alcohol-related crashes continue to be a significant problem both locally and nationally.
