Norman H. Penick, 55, of 133 Clermont Ave., Russells Point, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during a traffic stop Sunday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol in the area of Indian Lake State Park Campground on north State Route 235 reported observing a speed violation with Penrick’s vehicle about 9:50 p.m. and initiated the stop.
Signs of intoxication were observed, and he submitted to field sobriety tests. Penrick said he drank a beer about 9:30 p.m. and was headed to his residence.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he provided two samples of 0.210 blood alcohol content. He was released to a sober driver.
