One defendant was sentenced to five years community control in Logan County Common Pleas Court Monday, and a second defendant pled guilty to several drug-related charges.
The first defendant, Nikki M. Blair, 46, of Pemberton, was being sentenced for her conviction of one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony.
During her sentencing hearing conducted by Logan County Assistant Prosecutor Sarah J. Warren, she was granted 25 days credit for time previously served in the Logan County Jail.
Throughout her community control term, Blair will be prohibited from leaving the state without permission from the court or the Adult Parole Authority.
The defendant will be required to obtain a drug and alcohol assessment, attend counseling as required and follow all recommendations of courses of treatment, and will be subject to drug and alcohol abuse monitoring.
She also was informed that if the Adult Parole Authority has reasonable grounds to believe that the conditions of the nonresidential sanction are not being followed, she may be subject to search with or without a warrant.
Blair was ordered to pay all court costs.
The second defendant, Brice A. Lawson, 25, of Urbana, pled guilty to corrupting another with drugs, a third-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony.
During the hearing conducted by Logan County Assistant Prosecutor Alice Robinson-Bond, Lawson was found guilty as charged.
The defendant has been referred to the Adult Parole Authority for pre-sentence investigation report to be conducted at the Logan County Jail, and sentencing set for 10 a.m. Nov. 21.
His bond will be continued with the conditions that Lawson is in cooperation with the Adult Parole Authority.
