Big innings by the opponents have been thorns in the side for Bellefontaine’s baseball team this spring. That was the case again Thursday as Northwestern exploded for nine runs in the third inning en route to a 15-3 six-inning victory over the host Chiefs in a Central Buckeye Conference game.

The Chieftains end the CBC schedule with a 3-10 mark. They are now 5-12 overall.
The Warriors improve their record to 14-9, 7-5.
