Ashlynn Wright, 33, of North Lewisburg, was checked at the scene of a crash by Allen Township EMS personnel Wednesday evening, but was not transported from the scene.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating an eastbound 2016 Ford Fusion on County Road 44 near County Road 277 about 7:20 p.m. during snowy conditions when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and a tree and then tipped over onto its driver’s side.
Damage was heavy to her car, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing her seat belt, and no citations were issued.
• Drivers Christopher E. McCall, 18, of Urbana, and Jacob D. Miller, 26, of West Liberty, and a passenger in the McCall vehicle each were checked at the scene of a Wednesday afternoon crash by Macochee EMS personnel, but were not transported from the scene.
Deputies report McCall was operating a southbound 2004 Honda Pilot about 4:15 p.m. on U.S. Route 68 near Township Road 30 during snowy conditions. His vehicle struck the rear of a southbound 2012 Ford Focus operated by Miller that was stopped in traffic and waiting to turn left into a driveway.
McCall was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Each of the occupants were wearing their seat belts. Damage was heavy to the sport utility vehicle and light to the car.
• Derick A. Osei, 23, of Toledo, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on State Route 117.
Deputies report he was operating a southbound 2019 Kia Stinger near State Route 274 when he failed to maintain control and slid off the right side of the road during snowy conditions. The vehicle struck a guide wire for a telephone pole, where it came to a rest.
Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing his seat belt.
• Deputies continue to investigate a previously reported two-vehicle injury crash Wednesday morning that sent Morgan E. Rollins, 28, of DeGraff, and Neoma A. Price, 53, of Bellefontaine, to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton by CareFlight helicopter
Relating to the crash about 8:50 a.m. on U.S. Route 33 near County Road 57, deputies said Thursday that a non-involved witness statement does not match evidence on the scene. At the time of the crash, deputies were unable to speak with either of the drives, and are still trying to follow up with the individuals to determine the course of crash events.
