The Huntsville United Methodist Church, 6611 Fruit St., Huntsville, is one of more than 700 churches around the world and one of 36 in Ohio that will host simultaneously The Night to Shine, prom for people with special needs, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. The event is for those at least age 14.
Every guest of the event enters the complimentary event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, prom favors for each honored guest, a respite room for parents and caretakers, and a dance floor, all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom.
