The 2019 Camp Myeerah Nature Preserve Education Program begins Saturday, Jan. 26, with a winter hike and scavenger hunt.
The nature education program includes monthly meetings and activities at the camp located at 7405 State Route 540. A year-long family membership is available for $50 and includes 11 meetings/activities.
Single-day program participation costs $10 for a family, or $5 per individual.
Meetings are Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m., except for a special full moon night hike, scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m., weather permitting, Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Other topics will explore rocks and minerals, March 30; invasive plants, April 20; bees, May 18; dragonflies, June 15; wildflowers, July 27; wetlands, Aug. 31; service projects, Sept. 14; fall leaves, Oct. 5; and a wrap-up event, Nov. 16.
