MUNDY |
A woman who has a history of drug arrests dating back to 2006 was charged yet again with trafficking offenses.
Thursday, Neisha M. Mundy, 30, of 438 Spring Ave., was arrested for two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine, trafficking in crack cocaine in the vicinity of a juvenile and possession of crack cocaine.
It is the second time in two years that an investigation by the Logan County Joint Drug Task Force led to her arrest.
She was stopped around 10 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ludlow Road with assistance from officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Task force detectives learned she was transporting crack cocaine from Springfield to Logan County to then sell the drugs.
Crack cocaine was found in her shorts. There were two children, ages 7 and 9, in the vehicle at time of the stop.
She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Logan County Clerk of Courts records show she was arrested in 2006 for trafficking in drugs.
Logan County Common Pleas Judge Mark S. O’Connor sentenced her to a term at West Central Community Correctional Facility and five years of probation.
In 2013, she was back in front of the judge and pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs. She was sentenced to 27 days in jail, three years of probation and ordered into counseling.
The task force arrested her in July 2015 for possession and trafficking in cocaine. After she entered guilty pleas, she was sentenced Sept. 1 to the court’s adult recovery docket for possession and trafficking in cocaine.
Under the program, she was to submit to regular drug testing and undergo professional counseling and intensive supervision.
