Employees of the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center are preparing for the start of the 2021-22 school year.
Staff members from the agency that serves school districts in Logan, Hardin and Shelby Counties gathered recently at Indian Lake High School for their annual Opening Day assembly.
Superintendent Scott Howell spoke to the group about the personal benefits of practicing gratitude and the ESC’s commitment to service.
“If the districts say ‘we need this,’ we make it work. We provide the services that districts cannot provide for themselves.”
MRESC services include a variety of occupations such as several types of therapists, students with disabilities teachers and instructional assistants, curriculum and gifted support, professional development resources and much more.
Howell also highlighted his mission using the acronym STAR, meaning to Serve others, employ Teamwork, have a positive Attitude and be a Reliable employee.
This year’s class of MRESC new hires includes more than 70 staff members for Sidney City Schools.
