Sean A. Newman, 33, of 637 Henry St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a 3:50 p.m. traffic stop Thursday.
He was stopped after he did not use a turn signal to turn from Henry Street onto Orchard Avenue. He was cited for the traffic violation and for failure to reinstate his suspended driver’s license.
As officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department spoke with him, he became visibly nervous. They repeatedly asked him about illegal contraband before he finally admitted to possessing half of a pain reliving narcotic pill and a straw for snorting crushed pills.
