Jacob A. Long, 24, of West Mansfield, was transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Wednesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound motorcycle about 9:50 p.m. on State Route 47 near County Road 25 when he drove off the left side of the road, striking a ditch.
Long was cited for failure to control. He was wearing a helmet, deputies report. Damage was moderate to the motorcycle.
• Patty L. Lewis, 72, of West Liberty, was transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of possible injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.
Deputies report she was operating an eastbound 2020 Ford Ranger on County Road 29 near County Road 5 about 1:10 p.m. when she drove off the road on a curve and struck a tree.
Damage was heavy to the pickup. Lewis was cited for failure to control.
• Taylor N. Cain, 24, of Lima, also was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash Thursday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a westbound 2019 Nissan Rogue on Township Road 240 near County Road 54 about 5:25 a.m. when she said she swerved to avoid a deer in the road.
She went off the right side of the road, entering a soybean field and causing damage to the crops.
The driver was wearing her seat belt. No damage was reported to the sport utility vehicle.
