A Lakeview motorcyclist was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital after a 5:30 p.m. Friday crash on State Route 235 near the Indian Hollow Campground, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Storm Harrington, 27, was southbound on S.R. 235 at Lakeside on a Suzuki motorcycle, traveling at a high speed, when the motorcycle went off the right side of the road, deputies report. Harrington was ejected as the motorcycle continued southbound through a ditch before launching into the air and striking the sign for the campground.
Deputies responded along with the Indian Lake EMS and Lakeview Fire Department.
During the investigation, deputies learned Harrington has numerous license suspension and the motorcycle had a Kentucky tag registered to a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was issued citations for failure to control, driving under non-compliance suspension, fictitious license plate and reckless operation.
Harrington told deputies the throttle on the bike got stuck prior to the crash.
He was taken by the Indian Lake ambulane to MRH for injuries that were listed as non-incapacitating.
