Thomas Meseraull won the non-wing sprint car feature Saturday to highlight the eighth annual Jack Hewitt Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
Hewitt is now retired, but won more than 260 races in his career. The Waynesfield track annually honors the work and dedication Hewitt put in with a night of racing.
The non-wing sprint cars headlined this year’s Hewitt Classic as they raced for a $3,000 prize. Meseraull led every lap of the feature to get the win. Dustin Stroup was second, Kyle Simon finished third, Matt Westfall was fourth and Kody Swanson finished in fifth.
Heat wins went to Simon, Meseraull, Scotty Weir and Stroup, while Meseraull also won the dash. Paul Dues won the B Main.
