Marjorie S. Cooksey, 78, of West Liberty, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at her home. She was born in West Liberty on March 7, 1940, to the late Robert L. and Pauline Sellars King.
On Dec. 21, 1957, Marjorie married Thomas J. Cooksey, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Predmore and Barb Downing; and a brother, Richard King.
Marjorie is survived by her three sons, Thomas R. (Heidi) Cooksey of West Liberty, Chris (Mary Antonides) Cooksey of Xenia and Scott Cooksey of Woodstock; six grandchildren, Thomas M. Cooksey, Laura Cooksey, Ben Cooksey, Pat Cooksey, Meghan (Chris) Reynolds and Ryan (Caitlin) Cooksey; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Cooksey, Lily Cooksey, Kennedie Cooksey, Baylee Cooksey and Ellie Reynolds; a sister, Rita (Ron) Wolford; and a brother, Bob (Stephanie) King.
Throughout her life, Marjorie had worked at Graystone Restaurant, The Gathering Place, C.T.S. and was a manager at AP Technoglass. She had also been a dispatcher for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, served on the West Liberty Police Auxiliary and volunteered with the West Liberty Rescue Squad.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty, where a funeral begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
