SIDNEY — Deputies of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents are currently investigating a property in the village of Lockington, where 64 marijuana plants were found Tuesday, along with a “clandestine” methampetamine lab.
Tuesday, deputies and agents were conducting marijuana eradication in Shelby County, and from a helicopter, reportedly spotted the plants at 10320 Black Fox Trail.
Charges are pending against two residents of the property, Brett Edwards, 51, and Kelly Mossburg, 52. Mr. Edwards reportedly was observed attempting to cut down some of the marijuana plants when law enforcement officials arrived at the property.
A search warrant was obtained for the property because of the large amount of marijuana plants, with an approximate street value estimated at $128,000.
Inside the residence, the meth lab was located, and methamphetamine was seized.
