Margaret Lucille “Lucy” Anders, 98, of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born April 29, 1920, in Pitsburg, a daughter of the late Hershel and Anna Henninger Baker. She also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, David J. Anders; stepmother who raised her, Cora Baker; and sister, Alice Mae Carroll.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Drena (Stephen) Connor; son, David I. (Linda) Anders; grandchildren, Lynne (Dannie) Henson, Stephen Connor Jr., Michael (Missy) Anders, Bradley (Michelle) Anders and Jeffrey (Heather) Anders; great-grandchildren, Sadler and D.J. Henson, Ashley, Isaiah, Hannah, Gabriel, Shelby and Michael Anders; special niece, Sandy Eby; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Lucy and David formerly lived in Springfield, before moving to Indian Lake’s Russells Point where they also lived for many years. She served as president of one of the senior citizens groups in Russells Point for many years.
Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where visitation is an hour prior to the service. Burial follows in Eversole Cemetery in Perry Township, Montgomery County.
