Eric Timmons thinks he may have found a good recruiting tool in Honda of Ohio Manufacturing Inc.’s Performance Manufacturing Center.
“It would be great to bring about 200 high school students for a tour,” the executive vice president of the National Association of Manufacturers said to PMC Plant Manager Mike Fischer. “We could really show them the state of advanced manufacturing and get them excited about a career.”

Mr. Fischer and an entourage including representatives of the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association visited the plant as part of NAM’s annual state of manufacturing tour.
It was followed with tours of Worthington Industries and Anheuser-Busch’s Columbus facility. From Ohio, he was headed to Pittsburgh, Pa., and Detroit, Mich.
