Jeffery S. Arnett, 49, of Bellefontaine, and Suzanne M. Adams, 40, of 116 W. Brown Ave., each was charged after the male stood at a window of the Adams’ residence exposing himself Monday evening.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to area around 8:15 p.m. and spoke to several witnesses including three children. He would call out to people as they walked by to get their attention.
When officers arrived, the suspect shoved Ms. Adams into the home and locked the door.
Neither would come to the door as officers knocked for several minutes.
Officers learned there was an active protection order between the two. After conferring with the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office and being unsure if the male suspect might harm the woman, officers forced open the front door.
They were met by Ms. Adams coming down the stairs. She blocked their path and would not get out of the way. She was arrested and removed from the residence.

Officers proceeded upstairs and found the male suspect on the landing, telling the officers to shoot him. He was arrested without incident.
He is charged with public indecency, violating a protection order, obstructing official business and persistent disorderly conduct.
She was charged with obstructing official business.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Officers detected an odor of alcohol from both suspects.
Motorist charged with OVI
Corey Barnhart, 36, of 505 S. Detroit St., Apt. 4, was charged Saturday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road.
