Zachary T. Womack, 25, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot M4, Zanesfield, was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident early Sunday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence about 4:45 a.m. on a report of a domestic complaint.
Womack’s wife was waiting outside and deputies said she was visibly upset. She told deputies that during an argument with the defendant, he reportedly attempted to block her from leaving their bedroom and then kicked her in the side with his leg.
She said she then began recording the incident with her cellular phone. He then reportedly began grabbing her by the back of the neck and forced her to the ground in the bathroom. She said she was able to get outside of the home and she used her mother’s phone to call for help since Womack had taken her phone.
Deputies were able to watch the cell phone recording of the incident. The defendant was placed under arrest and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
