A DeGraff man who walked into his neighbor’s home while she was away and borrowed her land line telephone without permission was arrested Thursday night on a burglary charge.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to Carol Stotler’s 212 W. Hayes St. home shortly before 8 p.m. and took a report that her neighbor Ryan Leiss, 31, of 106 Walker St., was seen by at least three witnesses entering the unlocked home without permission while she was away earlier in the day.
Deputies stopped a vehicle in which he was a passenger on County Road 70 at County Road 4 and tooke Leiss into custody.
He reportedly admitted taking her telephone to his own residence to place several make calls.
