It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynne Louise Morris (nee Wisterman) on Aug. 23, 2016, at Dublin, Ohio
She was predeceased Aug. 28, 2015, by her beloved husband Jefferson Edward Morris II, with whom she enjoyed a rich, uncommon life of travel and culture. Her death occurred on their 64th wedding anniversary.
She was by her husband’s side as he pursued his love of opera singing in many places including the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany and Switzerland; she was his most loyal fan and constructive critic. She was the heart of the family and provided a stable, nurturing home in many foreign environments. She instilled in us a deep sense of family commitment, as well as love for travel and culture. She added a touch of class to everyday life. She especially loved nature, dogs, music, art and literature. Her intelligence and facility with words resulted in countless hand-written letters and journals: testimonies to her unique experiences and wise insight. She and her husband lived in Nova Scotia from 1975 on, but cherished their Ohio roots and spent most summers at Indian Lake in Ohio. After the death of her husband she moved to Dublin to live with her daughter Anna.
She is survived by her four children Lynne Susan Morris of Toronto, Ontario, Dianna Helen Shavers of Brandon, Manitoba, Jefferson Edward Morris III of Boutiliers Point, Nova Scotia, and Anna Lisa Webber of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother William “Buzz” Wisterman of Bucyrus, Ohio; and grandchildren Meagan Bennett, Lynden Morris, Amber Shavers, Jefferson Morris IV, Julian Shavers, Bryson Morris, Avalon Shavers, Elisabeth Webber and Nicholas Webber.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends in Ohio and Nova Scotia. The family thanks the wonderful and supportive staff at The Grand Senior Living Community in Dublin and Ohio Health Hospice. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Indian Lake Community Church, 120 N. Orchard Island Road, Russells Point, Ohio.
We suggest memorial donations in her name be made to the OhioHealth hospice program at https://foundation.ohiohealth.com/programs/hospice-giving.
Thank you for showering us with prayers, kindness, and support as we walked through this journey together.
