West Liberty-Salem Elementary fourth- and fifth-graders were all abuzz while watching 16 of their peers take the stage in the school spelling bee. Eight students were chosen from each grade level in December after participating in a classroom spelling bee. Fifth-grader Braylon Lucas, left, won first place and fellow fifth-grader Peyton Ziegler was runner up. Braylon will now take an online spelling and vocabulary test in hopes of being chosen to represent WL-S at the statewide spelling bee in the spring. (WL-S PHOTO)
