Lois P. Roebuck, 90, of Columbus and formerly of Belle Center, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, in Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.
She was born in Logan County on Feb. 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Harry and Marie Miller Roebuck. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Harriet Kies.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Garnie) Roebuck of Belle Center; brother-in-law, Hank Kies of Bellefontaine; her nieces and nephews, Hal Kies of Columbus, Johnny Roebuck, Ronnie Chris (Caroline) Roebuck of Belle Center and Cathy (Brooks) Pool, all of Belle Center, Jeff (Heather) Kies of California and Jennifer (George) Wilkins of Bellefontaine; and numerous great- nieces and nephews.
Lois was the valedictorian of the Belle Center High School Class of 1945 and worked for the Belle Center Bank before going to work for Lennox Manufacturing in Columbus, from where she retired in 1983. She was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for 10 years. She also enjoyed playing the piano and traveling.
Pastor Kevin Smith officiates a funeral service at noon Tuesday, March 7, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center, where visitation is one hour prior. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
