Lois E. “Sis” Stout, 94, of Kenton passed away Monday, March 30, 2020, at her residence.
Sis was born on Oct. 5, 1925, in Kenton to the late Howard and Eva (Decker) Scott.
She married Wilbur Stout on Jan. 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1989.
Sis is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Doyle) Sams of Kenton and Connie (John) Spencer of Huntsville. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Tobi (Darin) Collins and John (Nichole) Spencer, both of Bellefontaine, and three great grandchildren; Carson, Isabella and Amelia Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Scott
Sis was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where she was previously active in playing the organ. She also previously served as the Township Clerk of McDonald Township. Mrs. Stout was a member of the Lawrence Valley Grange for over 70 years and Fides King’s Daughter’s in Belle Center. She was also a hospital and Red Cross volunteer.
A private family service will be held and burial will be in Fairview-McDonald Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home.
