Lois A. Huffman, 92 of Bellefontaine passed away February, 29, 2020 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Lois was born April 10, 1927, in Lewistown to the late Paul H. and Mildred (Eleyet) McAdams. On Oct. 6, 1945, in Bellefontaine she married the love of her life Max L. Huffman, who preceded her in death.
Lois was a former member of the Lewistown Methodist Church and was a current member of the Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star and a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Lois retired from Airstream where she had worked for 18 years. She later volunteered at Mary Rutan Hospital for 10 years as a greeter and Beatleys at the Lake.
She enjoyed traveling, watching Ohio State and Auburn football, her IPad and IPhone, her flowers (especially her ferns.) Lois also enjoyed birds and pets in general, but Miss Molly was her favorite. She had many parts of life that she enjoyed, too many to mention, above all she enjoyed living above all of life’s expectancies. She loved dining out with her “Foursome”, being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren; who she loved very much. Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children; Tim (Mary) Huffman and Debby (Larry) Messner; grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Huffman, Todd (Kim) Huffman, Heidi (Bill) Cancellieri, Brandon (Krista) Messner, Shane (Carrie) Messner, Chris(Lynn) Messner; great grandchildren, Conner, Avery, Lauren, Ellie, Jack, Quinn, Elliana, Allie, Katelyn, Maxton, Mabel, Jubilee; nieces and nephews, Charlene, Bruce, Mike and Dan.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Quinn McAdams and Avis McAdams; niece, Jo Grewe.
A funeral service is at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Acting pallbearers for the services: Brandon Messner, Shane Messner, Brian Huffman, Todd Huffman, Larry Richardson and Jack Makemson.
