Brandon L. Moore, 21, of 9800 County Road 26, West Mansfield, has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a felony of the third degree, for a fatal crash Dec. 18 at state routes 292 and 47.
A Logan County grand jury handed up the indictment this week after prosecutors alleged Moore acted in a reckless manner when he ignored a stop sign and drove his northbound car into the path of westbound car in which Marie V. Schnurrenberger was a passenger.
The 92-year-old West Mansfield woman died from injuries sustained in the 1:45 p.m. crash.
As part of the crash investigation, deputies learned Moore had been stopped the day before for having windows with tint that exceeded the legal limits. It was the second time he had been stopped for the vehicle equipment violation.
It is alleged the excessive tinted windows contributed to the crash.
Grannison indictment lists 10 charges
James A. Grannison, 65, of 532 Ludlow Road, faces seven felony charges and three misdemeanor counts of domestic violence for a series of attacks targeting his wife over the New Year’s weekend.
The felony counts listed in a grand jury indictment are: two counts of felonious assault, felonies of the second degree; two counts of attempted felonious assault, felonies of the third degree; two counts of abduction, felonies of the third degree; and menacing by stalking, a felony of the fourth degree.
He was arrested Jan. 2 after his wife, Jodi Grannison, told officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department that he began attacking her late Jan. 1 and beating her after consuming alcohol.
According to arrest reports, Grannison allegedly became enraged with the victim and grabbed the victim by the throat while in their bedroom. He then attempted to strangle her and threatened to snap her neck while his hand was on her neck.
She told officers the suspect held her back by her nightgown in the room until she struggled free.
She fled to the garage but the suspect found her and grabbed her by the hair. He allegedly slammed her into a door and wall before forcing her back into the residence.
Officers noted she complained of pain in her neck and throat. They also noted he also had a bleeding scratch on the left side of her face; a visible cut and swollen area on the left side of her forehead; and bruising on the right side of her head and on her back.
Investigative records note the defendant has faced initial charges of domestic violence in the past but has never been convicted of the offense. With no prior domestic violence conviction, prosecutors could only seek misdemeanor level charges on those violations.

The victims told deputies they left the bar after the argument and were loading their belongings into a their vehicle. The suspect allegedly drove up to them in his sport utility vehicle and renewed a verbal argument with one of the victims.
Hall allegedly backed up his SUV as the man was near the passenger side.
He was struck by the mirror and part of the mirror broke off.
