“We knew it was coming, so it didn’t surprise us really, but we’re disappointed that students won’t be able to come back for the rest of the school year,” Indian Lake Superintendent Rob Underwood said.
“It’s difficult, but we weren’t shocked by it.”
“We have been anticipating this for some time Indian Lake will continue to conduct online classes through the end of its last regular day of school, Underwood said.
However, annual events such as proms and graduations remain up in-the-air as districts continue to wait for further direction from the state government.
Graduations at Ben Logan and Indian Lake have not yet been officially rescheduled, administrators related Monday following regular meetings of their respective boards of education.
Underwood said a traditional, in-person graduation remains a priority, but will largely depend on any guidance from the state government regarding large gatherings.
Bellefontaine City Schools announced during Monday’s board of education meeting that students will receive their final assignments during the first week of May, and the last day to submit paper assignments will be May 13.
