Bellefontaine’s wrestling team held on to beat visiting Urbana 39-30 on Thursday in the Battle of Route 68 dual meet.

The Chieftains went 6-4 in the matches wrestled and recorded five pins.
Bellefontaine held a 33-30 lead with one match left and the Chiefs got a pin from Garrett Gross to seal the victory.
“It was an exciting dual and a great atmosphere to be in,” said BHS head coach Aaron LaBatt. “We’ve really tried to rekindle this rivalry with Urbana and the kids on both teams have taken to that and added the intensity. We wrestled well and did our jobs.”
