ALEXANDER |
A Lakeview man was charged Thursday with two felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and was lodged in the Logan County Jail, officers of the Washington Township Police Department report.
Daniel J. Alexander, 19, also was charged with misdemeanor counts of violating a protection order and obstructing official business.
Officers first responded about 11 a.m. to Indian Lake High School in reference to a civil protection violation complaint. The defendant reportedly had been communicating with a 15-year-old female victim, who had a protection order against him.
Alexander was soliciting the juvenile to perform sex acts on herself while at school, record them and send them to him. The investigation also revealed Daniel has sent sexually explicit pictures of himself to her.
A short time later, the defendant was taken into custody at a residence in Lakeview by officers of the Washington Township Police Department, despite his attempts to flee through a back door of the residence. He was booked into the jail at 5:55 p.m.
This investigation is on going and additional charges are being considered, officers said. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office accompanied Washington Township officers as they closed in on Alexander.
