Indian Lake’s softball team handled visiting Greenon for a 7-2 victory Monday in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division opener.
The Lakers are now 3-1 overall and start Mad River play at 1- 0. The Knights slide to 4-1, 0-1.
Indian Lake built a 3-0 lead after three innings and drove in three more runs during the fourth inning for a 6-0 cushion. The Lakers added one more run in the fifth inning for a 7-0 score.
Greenon managed to drive in two runs during the sixth inning, but could not get any closer to Indian Lake.
Hailey Wallace dominated in the pitching circle with 11 strikeouts and two walks, while scattering five hits.
