Indian Lake’s boys basketball team came up a little short at the finish line Friday night as host Kenton held on for a 66-59 victory in the season opener for both teams.
The Wildcats took command with a 20-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Lakers cut into that lead with a 16-10 run in the second quarter. That pulled Indian Lake within four points (30-26) at halftime.
Indian Lake continued to battle in the third period and trailed by just two points (44-42) heading into the final quarter.
