Joyce Eileen Moore, 74, of Lakeview, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Heartland of Indian Lake.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 6, 1941, to the late George H. and Vertie F. Taylor Harford.
On Nov. 14, 1965, she married her husband of 45 years, James M. Moore, a.k.a. “The Bible School Hot Dog Man,” and he preceded her in death March 15, 2011. She also was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, James H. and Diann Harford; and a sister-in-law, Kay Harford.
Survivors include two daughters, Karla (Brad) Whitcher and Karen (Chris) Tron; six grandchildren, Haley Tron, Anna Marie Whitcher, Dalton Tron, April Whitcher, Erin Whitcher and Austin Tron; a brother, Philip R. (Mary Ann) Harford; and several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, she was a life-long member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeview where she served as superintendent, Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher. She enjoyed her time spent as the Bible School “Craft Lady,” and most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where a funeral begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville.
