Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, has been named a winner of the 2015 Taxpayers’ Friend Award by the National Taxpayers Union.
He was one of two Ohio congressmen to receive an “A” in the 2015 Congressional Rating by NTU, based on his strong voting record to lower taxes, limited government and economic freedom for all Americans.
Since 1979, NTU has analyzed every roll call vote affecting fiscal policy. The “Taxpayer Score” is based on how each member of Congress has addressed issues like federal spending, taxes, debt and regulations. Last year, 141 Senate and 267 House votes were included in NTU’s scorecard. Only 14 Senators and 43 Representatives won the 2015 award.
