Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team lost to Jonathan Alder 4-1 in a Central Buckeye Conference match Thursday.
Bellefontaine’s win came at second singles, where Maverick Calton grabbed a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
The Chiefs’ Hunter Karg was defeated 6-2, 6-0 at first singles, while Kasey Middaugh lost 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.
At first doubles, Bellefontaine’s Cam Neer and Jackson Strzalka were defeated 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
The Chiefs’ second doubles team of Aiden Hartley and Simon Stolly were defeated 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
In junior varsity play, the Chiefs’ Ben Sailors lost 7-6, Hursh Bakshi lost 6-2, Drew Egler and Shawn Heft fell 6-4 in a doubles match and Keondre Johnson and Brooks Verhoff lost 8-6 in a doubles match.
Bellefontaine plays at Kenton Ridge on Saturday.
