John P. Shively, 55, of rural DeGraff, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1964, the son of Ralph Shively, who survives in DeGraff, and the late Phyllis M. (Francis) Pohlschneider, who preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2018.
He is survived by his sister, Leslie Ann “LeeAnn” (Ron) Swonguer of Huntsville, and two brothers, Dan (Brenda) Shively of Bellefontaine and Charlie (Rhonda) Shively of Shelbyville, Texas; two nieces, Jana (Tim) McPherson and Kylene (Josh) Pick; and a nephew, Troy (Amber) Shively, and several great nieces and nephews.
John graduated from high school and worked for Siemens in both Urbana and Bellefontaine for 20 years. He retired and worked as a caretaker for his father, Ralph.
Graveside services will be conducted privately by the family and burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery, DeGraff.
