Joan Zedeker, 84, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Green Hills Care Center.
Joan was born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 25, 1936, to the late William Hurley and Martha Lauretta (Gerrie) Hurley Jamison. She was also preceded in death by daughter Tami Jo Kotsaris.
Joan married John William “Bill” Zedeker on May 14, 1958, and he survives in West Liberty. She is also survived by daughter Teresa (David) Burroughs; grandsons Joshua (Myra) Kotsaris, Jordan Kotsaris, and Jason (Amber) Roberts; granddaughter Kasondra Postle; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Darlene (Daryl) Bigony; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1954 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Joan was a member of Bellefontaine First Church of God. She enjoyed shopping, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pastors Gary Brown and Ray Headings will officiate Joan’s funeral on Friday, March 26, at 1 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Due to the current pandemic orders, please be symptom-free, practice social distancing, and wear a mask.
