Jimmy K. Mabry, 78, of rural West Mansfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Memorial Gables of Marysville.
A lifetime farmer and former dairy farmer, he was a partner with Joe Cronkleton in MC Farms Inc.
He formerly worked 16 years with DAB Industries. Jimmy attended North Greenfield United Methodist Church and was a 1957 graduate of Perry Zane High School.
Jimmy was a member of the Central Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. He loved every bit of farming and took great pride in tractor pulling. Affectionately known as “Pa Jim,” he will be remembered as a very honest and extremely hard working man.
He was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Bellefontaine to the late Clem G. and Myrtle E. Ritter Mabry. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Bobby Mabry; two sisters, Vivian Sharon and Susan Peachey; a sister-in-law, Jean Mabry; and two brothers-in-law, James Sharon and Richard Peachey.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Cheryl L. McDaniel Mabry, to whom he was married May 5, 1994; two daughters, Pamela (Chuck) Hefner and Rhonda (Quint) Moore, and his wife’s children, Jason (Jessica) McDaniel and Scott Coy, all of West Mansfield; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and another soon to be born; brother, Gerald Mabry of Centerburg; a sister-in-law, Joy Mabry of West Mansfield; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Wilson Funeral Home-Schnurrenberger Chapel, 222 W. Center St., West Mansfield, where the funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Linda Dulin-Moore officiating. Burial is in North Greenfield Cemetery.
