Northeastern’s softball team used a big fourth inning to pull away from host West Liberty-Salem for a 6-3 win in Ohio Heritage Conference action Wednesday.
The Tigers fall to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the OHC standings.
Northeastern took a 1-0 lead after the first inning. The Jets gained some breathing room in the top of the fourth inning with a four-run surge to take a 5-0 lead.
The Tigers managed to plate two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to trail 5-2. The Jets tacked on one more run in the top of the seventh frame for a 6-2 lead.
