Janie Dibert, 95, of DeGraff, passed away peacefully at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at home.
She was born in Marysville on May 19, 1921, a daughter of the late Jesse and Mayme Bodey Roesser.
On Oct. 21, 1940, she married Robert Curl and he preceded her in death May 5, 1977. She married Kenneth Dibert on June 8, 1990, and he preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1993. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Ann Erwin; and a brother, Dr. Charles E. Roesser.
Janie is survived by three nieces, Diane (Rick) Priest, Debbie (Mark) Hannahs and Kay (Mark) Petty; a nephew, Brian Erwin; and two great-nieces, Brittany Priest and Taylor (Adam) Bellevue.
A homemaker, Janie was a 1937 graduate of Rosewood High School. She was a member of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren and enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and cake decorating.
Per Janie’s request, there is no visitation. A private funeral service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Careysville.
