Janet Stanley Clapsaddle died Oct. 22, 2023, due to stroke (illness) at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
I was born March 31, 1950, to Roe Burton Stanley and Ila Lucille Hatcher Stanley. I grew up outside East Liberty as a crop/dairy farmer’s daughter. I graduated from Logan Hills High School in 1968. I attended Milligan College in TN during 1968-1970.
During my college years, I came to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He had done on the cross to cover my sins with His Righteousness. His death, burial and resurrection secured my adoption as a Child of God and gave me access to my eternal home in Heaven.
I had two amazing daughters whose families are outstanding, Janel (Neil Tennant) Hall and their sons Henry and Hugo; Janae (Brian) Mulvaine and their son Salem. My prayers during my life were that they would all come to know and accept Christ. Now that I am gone, whoever reads this, I request that you would continue the prayers of salvation for all of them.
Born as sinners, we make mistakes. But as a Child of God, I came to understand repentance, forgiveness and love. God blessed me with a godly husband, Bob Clapsadddle, and we married May 22, 1992, in Hillsborough, N.C. We had both made mistakes, but our faith in Christ carried us through and we re-dedicated our lives to the service of Christ and others.
What I accomplished on this earth is of no importance. When it’s all been said and when it’s all been done, God will ask me, “Did you go my way? Did you know my Son?” I am cheerfully able to say, “Yes.”
I was donated to science at OSU.
