Jane Guy, 72, of Arlington, Mass., passed away Feb. 15, 2017.
She was born Dec. 9, 1944, to Harry and Pauline Guy who preceded her in death.
She is survived by lifetime partner of 41 years, Gail Goodearl of Arlington, Mass.; sisters, Mary Guy of Green Hills, Phyllis (Don) King and her children, Michelle (Brandon) Reed and children of West Liberty, Donita(Jeff) Hammond and children of Salina, Kansas, D Rea (Kaci) King and children of Bellefontaine and KC (Missy) King of DeGraff and son.
She graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1963 and received her bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg College and master’s degrees from Simmons College and from Boston University.
Jane was a member of the Church of our Savior in East Arlington for many years.
Jane and Gail enjoy traveling from Antarctica to Zanzibar. They visited all seven continents together. Travel was her passion. She loved the water and all the animals that resided in it. Jane swam with manatees and dolphins and stroked gray whales in Baja, Mexico.
There is a family luncheon Friday, April 14, in memory of Jane and a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
