James Marion “Jim” Collins, 73, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Camilla, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine.
He was born in Hardin County, on May 23, 1948, the son of the late Burnie and Kathleen (Bailey) Collins. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Gunn, and two brothers, Dan and Richard Collins.
He is survived by his three sons; Burnie Collins of Kenton, OH, Eric Collins of Plain City, OH, and Jim (Erin) Collins of Bellefontaine, OH, two grandsons; Corey and Keegan Collins, two brothers; Victor and Tim Collins both of Tampa, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
Jim worked at Westinghouse prior to his retirement. He had a love for music and was an exceptional guitar player. He loved all music, but really liked to play bass guitar for rock n roll and country music. He loved to play in the Pelham County Jamboree in Georgia and had a knack to be able play a song after just hearing it one time. He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and enjoyed reading the Bible. He also enjoyed dancing, fishing, and word searches.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Parker Bramlett Funeral Home, 410 E Broad St, Camilla, GA 31730, where friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Pelham, GA
