Jacob Robert Wheeler, 34, of West Liberty, passed away at 2:03 p.m. on October 8, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Howell, Michigan on March 8, 1987, a son of Robert Joseph and Cheryl Ann (Williams) Wheeler of DeGraff.
On June 20, 2015, Jacob married the former Tiffany Brook Caudill in Huntsville, Ohio, and she survives, along with their children Noah and Grace; a brother, Jeremiah (Rebecca) Wheeler of DeGraff; three nieces and nephews, Natalie, Chase, and Avery; and his grandfather, Harold Eugene Williams Jr. of Houghton Lake, Michigan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jacob had worked as a carman and welder for CSX Railroad. He was a wonderful Christian father, husband, and son who enjoyed family time, raising his children, John Deere tractors, trucks, riding ATVs, and shooting bow and guns.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 15, and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, at Bellefontaine Grace Church, 2220 S. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where Pastors Daniel O’Kane and Bill Prater will officiate a funeral service on Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Jacob’s memory, to Tiffany Wheeler for the establishment of a college fund for Noah and Grace.
